Rock Stabilization at the Dikti Cave (Diktaion Andron) in Lasithi
Our company carried out the rock stabilization project at the iconic Dikti Cave (Diktaios Andron) on the Lasithi Plateau, with Lydakis Construction as the main contractor.
The objective of the project was the installation of 2,500 linear meters of stainless steel passive anchors, 6 to 8 meters in length, to restore the stability of the cave ceiling.
The work was executed using 5,000 m² of PERI rosette-type scaffolding, and all equipment was transported with the assistance of an Airstar Aviation helicopter due to the lack of ground access.
