Rockfall Protection at Theopetra Cave, Trikala Prefecture
Our company, in collaboration with Orion Technical, successfully installed a 120-meter Risp rockfall barrier system with a maximum rock impact capacity of 5,000 kJ at Theopetra Cave in Trikala Prefecture.
This was a challenging project on a 70-meter-high vertical rock face, where the use of rope access techniques, in combination with helicopter support from Airstar Aviation, proved to be both the only feasible approach and completely successful.
